Leadership Teams - Chapter 5, Examples of operating principles

How Do We Organize Ourselves to maximize efficiency?

  • Schedule meetings three months in advance. At the last meeting of the month, we will schedule a new month.

  • Start and end on time.

  • Our standard agenda distributed in advance.

  • Identify targets and milestones and track progress.

  • Each team member is responsible for "catching up" if a meeting is missed. We will use the buddy system to obtain information.

  • Take stretch break at mid-session

  • At end of meeting clarify assignments, highlight next meeting topics, and critique.

  • Use a gatekeeper to keep us on agenda and timetable, but remain flexible.

  • Notes will be distributed five working days after each meeting.
